2 Ejected, Killed As Car Hits Phoenix House

PHOENIX -- A man and a woman were killed early Friday morning after their car struck a house in Phoenix, according to a Phoenix police spokesman. VIDEO: 2 Die As Car Crashes Into Home The crash happened after midnight as the vehicle traveled east on Osborne Avenue near 25th Street, according to Darren Hood of the Phoenix Police Department. Hood said the driver apparently lost control of the 2006 Kia, struck a house and both occupants were ejected. Both were later pronounced dead. Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said the driver was a 30-year-old man and the passenger a 35-year-old woman. Neither of the two occupants in the house were injured, Thompson said. Thompson said the accident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. Osborn Road was expected to be closed for several hours as police investigate.
